Peoria Mayor Twitter Parody Account Led To A Police Raid, A Drug Charge And A Lawsuit Against The City

Parody accounts have proliferated on Twitter almost since the dawn of the micro-blogging platform. And far from being exempt, politicians have frequently been the subjects: Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan, Queen Elizabeth and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel have all been subjects of parody Twitter accounts, and as far as we know ...

Melissa Bachman Hypocritical Uproar

Pun not intended.

Is it just me or is anyone else kind of pissed off about the public outcry surrounding Melissa Bachman (http://www.fitsnews.com/2012/09/03/huntress-causes-headaches-for-scdnr/)?

Of course, killing a lion/crocodile/cheetah is horrible but why is it sooo much worse than the institutionalized murder of millions of pigs and cows? All of a sudden people give a shit about animals? The bigger ones deserve sympathy but chickens don't? I'm just frustrated by the whole thing!!

What do you fellow hunters think about Melissa Bachman getting criticized for her big game hunt

Many of you may have heard of Melissa Bachman. This past week people have been outraged about the latest trophy she killed, a male lion in South Africa. These people have gone so far to try to ban her from South Africa. She killed this lion legally with a permit, which is quite expensive. I just wanted to see what you fellow hunters think about big game hunting and the reaction that the public had towards her kill. Here's the picture for your viewing pleasure http://imgur.com/gallery/Ik7Z9rd

TV Presenter Melissa Bachman Angers Entire Internet After Shooting A Lion

Driving up to a pack of lions, and then using a rifle and scope to kill one, should not be called "hunting". The people who condone these types of activities should be aware of the consequences of their actions. Lets post our opinions on her Facebook, and the Facebook pages of her supporters.

Is disliking hypocrisy a Fi thing?

My friend are I are both mostly vegetarian—I'll eat the occasional burger, and she's a pescetarian, meaning she eats fish. One day we were looking at guys on OKC and she didn't like that one had a picture of himself going fishing—she is against fishing in general. I pointed out that for her to eat fish, someone had to fish them, and she said she hadn't really thought about it. It is worth pointing out that she is a dominant Fe user. I found this amusing but was also kind of weirded out that it hadn't occurred to her.

Recently another friend sent me a link to this article about some TV personality who is getting a lot of shit from the Internet about shooting a lion. I don't like that she trophy hunted a lion, which is a vulnerable (ie: almost endangered) species, but I find it irritating that these people are against hunting even things like deer (which are overpopulated, etc.), when they also eat meat, thereby supporting the torture/killing of animals in that industry. Wild animals at least live a natural life and are often killed quickly and humanely, while meat animals are raised in factory farms... So by my logic, if these people really were against cruelty, they'd be trying to eat less meat.

I'm not claiming to be a beacon of perfect moral consistency myself, but I get annoyed with blatant hypocrisy like that. Another good example is socially conservative politicians claiming to dislike the government intruding on peoples' personal lives yet trying to legislate against homosexuality and other aspects of peoples' personal lives. I was wondering if anyone else did too, and if so is it related to introverted feeling?

PS: I am not interested in discussing animal rights; I just thought those were good examples.
