I notice 9/10 people aren't using cheats. I've spent some time thinking about this, and in GTA V, cheats do nothing to affect the game aside from disabling trophies. I don't believe it would cause the chiliad mystery to be any different.

What are your thoughts on this?

Sandbox mode on GTA V: There is no money. Every thing is free. And everything is availble. You can get in a tank an fight against the police. There's a parking lot with every car for more action and fun. On the international airport are all planes, except the big big big (antonov) cargoplane. It's like offline, just the same activity's, but there are no missions to do, or collectibles. You can't do jobs, only the street races that one from GTA V Offline (or ATV or water races ). And you can't save the game, and you're your online character (with no levels, that's not required. Friends can join your sandbox game. But not strangers.

Why is this a solution? The biggest reason the most people cheat or hack on GTA V is they want money to play with their friends on the're own way. People want to custom some cool cars and cruise together about the One Highway. Or do some nice tricks with miniguns and shit.

What's your idea about this?

Mayby some good idea's to add to 'sandbox'? :)

ianelinon: and being able to spawn things like in content creator. holy shit.

dannygojo: And add cheats aswell, that would be lots of fun.

laser-show-15: I think that at least R* needs to spawn random weapons in random spots just like in GTA IV MP. You only keep that weapon for that game only, that means you have to go and find it in a different game.

New GTA V Cheat: Super Human Jump!

The code for the cheat is:

Xbox 360: left, left, y, y, right, right, left, right, x, rb, rt

PS3: left, left, Triangle, Triangle, right, right, Left, Right, Square, R1, R2

It's a very humorous cheat, especially when combined with the Moon Gravity cheat, I hope you all have fun in GTA 5!

Discovered a pattern in the cheats from San Andreas gta v

I was tryin to discover new cheats when I noticed a pattern in the cheats over the two games. I have found the cheats using the key of "up" in SA has changed to the key "left". For example the ps2 Cheat for stunt plane in SA Is "circle up L1 L2 Down R1 L1 L1 left left x" this is almost identical to the gta v Cheat for stunt plane which is " circle right L1 L2 left R1 L1 L1 left left x". The only difference is that the up key is changed to right, and the down key is changed to left. I think they had to change it as the up key activates the phone.

Just thought I would point this out as it may help discover more cheats

My playing style in GTA:V vs GTA:IV. I'm wondering how many others changed as I have.

  1. I will occaisionally actually stop at a stop sign. After I do so I think... why the hell did I just do this? I have concluded that it's because a few times prior, I got tboned by a bus or something. Classical conditioning at work.

  2. I haven't even bothered to look at the cheats yet. This game is much more of an RPG than GTA:IV in my opinion. I'm even tempted to buy my cars instead of stealing them just for the "I earned this" feeling that IV didn't offer.

  3. Holy shit body armor. I never cared about it before but now with so much money, i wont go out without max armor.

  4. Stealing cars has become quite rare for me. I called a cab the other day to get to my place so I could drive my own car. Not really sure what motivated me though. Maybe as I said before, it could have been the role playing factor of the game. I was also playing as Michael.

  5. Actually paying attention to the story lines and how everything fits together. I know this sounds dumb but when I played 4, I did it all so spaced apart in time that i really knew absolutely nothing about the story of the game. Sure I remember some missions but thats it.

  6. Cops used to be not too much of a problem. With the new and improved police system, I get tense at the sight of a cop car. I dont want to spend the same time it took to get out of a 3 star just for some small accident I cause. Getting away can sometimes be easier with the new line of sight thing but damn!

  7. I actually read texts and emails now. GTA:IV?? Fuck that shit. But now since I'm so engrosed in the story, I actually dont even care about reading the spam shit ammunation sends me. I dont want to miss anything. I want to get the best possible experience from this game as possible.

  8. I dont care about being charged for stuff like the shooting range or even more expensive things. It adds to the real life/role playing feel of the game. Also because money is actually pretty easy to come by.

GTA V Cheats

Seems some cheats from past games work! But they don't always spawn the same vehicle as before. I'll keep this updated with ones I try which work.

Proof: and

One thing I'm unsure about is what the game defines as a "session" when disabling achievements. Can I spawn a heli to travel between missions? What about if I quick-save, then re-load. Or does saving the game after using any cheats disable achievements for good on that save?

ALL FOUND Seems all the known cheats have now been found. There may still be a couple vehicle codes remaining IIRC. And you never know, there may still be some more hidden ones, or released as DLC.

Collectable Locations

  • Spawn Buzzard B B LB B B B LB LT RB Y B Y <-- (helicopter with missiles & guns)

  • Spawn Stunt Plane B Right LB LT Left RB LB LB Left Left A Y

  • Spawn Duster Right Left RB RB RB Left Y Y A B LB LB

  • Spawn Comet RB B RT Right LB LT A A X RB

  • Spawn Rapid GT RT LB B Right LB RB Right Left B RT

  • Spawn Limo RT Right LT Left Left RB LB B Right

  • Spawn Trashmaster B RB B RB Left Left RB LB B Right

  • Spawn Caddy B LB Left RB LT A RB LB B A

  • Spawn Sanchez B A LB B B LB B RB RT LT LB LB

  • Spawn PCJ RB Right Left Right RT Left Right X Right LT LB LB

  • Spawn BMX Left Left Right Right Left Right X B Y RB RT

  • Give Parachute Left Right LB LT RB RT RT Left Left Right LB

  • Give Weapons Y RT Left LB A Right Y Down X LB LB LB NEW

  • Raise Wanted Level RB RB B RT Left Right Left Right Left Right

  • Lower Wanted Level RB RB B RT Right Left Right Left Right Left

  • Max Health & Armour B LB Y RT A X B Right X LB LB LB NEW

  • Invincibility (5 Minutes) Right A Right Left Right RB Right Left A Y NEW <-- doesn't affect vehicles...

  • Recharge Ability Meter A A X RB LB A Right Left A

  • Drunk Mode Y Right Right Left Right X B Left

  • Slidey Cars Y RB RB Left RB LB RT LB

  • Fast Run Y Left Right Right LT LB X

  • Fast Swim Left Left LB Right Right RT Left LT Right

  • Slow Mo Aim X LT RB Y Left X LT Right A <-- enter up to 3 times to increase the effect, fourth time disables

  • Moon Gravity Left Left LB RB LB Right Left LB Left

  • Super Jump Left Left Y Y Right Right Left Right X RB RT NEW

  • Explosive Melee Attacks Right Left A Y RB B B B LT

  • Bang Bang Right X A Left RB RT Left Right Right LB LB LB <-- guns shoot explosions

  • Flaming Bullets LB RB X RB Left RT RB Left X Right LB LB

  • Skyfall LB LT RB RT Left Right Left Right LB LT RB RT Left Right Left Right <-- fall from sky (make sure you have a parachute!)

  • Change Weather RT A LB LB LT LT LT X <-- includes snow

  • Slow Mo Y Left Right Right X RT RB <-- enter up to 4 times to increase the effect, fifth time disables

And from examining the game's code files, it seems very likely at least the codes for the following cheats are undiscovered:

  • Invincibility

  • Give Weapons

  • Full Health & Armour

  • Fast Swim

  • Super Jump

  • Moon Gravity

  • SKYFALL (codename)

  • PHONEDENIED (codename) _<-- likely not anything

I've tried all the GTA IV phone cheat codes. None work.

Also thanks to /u/LewisXI/, /u/BaneReturns/, /u/tizle/, /u/hellslave/, /u/didas951/, /u/ficvic/, /u/ks9996/, /u/CyberOps31/, /u/Lawdyy/, /u/isaychris/ and /u/kittehmaster/ for submissions.

A feature I thought about last night while playing GTA IV with my friends

I was at the airport jumping cars around with my friends, feeling annoyed when I'd have to run around looking for a new one every time I trashed mine, when I thought... What if GTA V allowed some basic cheats in private free mode? Things like generating cars mainly, but also maybe weapons and health and some physics type stuff that the host has control of. Could you imagine starting a free mode game and immediately having a six star wanted level to evade?

I think if cheat codes or some other form of modification was added to multiplayer, I'd shit every pair of pants I own.

Cheats in GTA V? Do you think they should be included?

While many gamers may not care about the matter of cheat codes, I'm curious what my fellow Redditors think about cheats in GTA V? I've seen several articles/posts elsewhere on the subject and on the whole it seems that fewer and fewer games are including cheat codes; Some people even advocate for this change and celebrate it.

Personally, I find cheat codes to be a tremendous fun factor for all games, as long as they're only usable in single player and can't be used to impact someone else's game experience. Sometimes they make the game tons easier, sometimes they're whacky (as GTA cheats of old tend to be, such as flying cars) and purely for fun. But at the end of the day they're optional. Some people seem to take issue with the reduction of realism and immersion, but why? Nobody forces anyone to use cheat codes, it's an arbitrary combination of buttons/words that isn't likely to be pressed unwittingly and thus a "dedicated" gamer need not even pay heed to them. Yet on many of the aforementioned posts, I see people invariably crying "GOOD! GET RID OF THE CHEATS!!!" as if the existence of people playing the game in a way that's different but fun to them genuinely annoys these peeps. Something about that just doesn't strike me right, because I don't like anyone telling me how to use something that I paid for if the way I'm using it is fun and not impacting anyone else. Further than that and on a less serious note, I have to abide by laws of physics and deal with being patient for rewards day in and day out in real life. Why should I have to do the same on a game that I bought to escape reality and have some fun? If I want to press some buttons to unlock every gun in the game or unlimited health early I feel like I should be able to, because I paid real for the game and I want to play for fun sometimes instead of strategy.

One thing that has greatly entertained me about the GTA series is their inclusion of fun cheat codes. While Rockstar didn't include flying cars or wacky character codes in GTA IV, they included some fun ones like Super Punch and the more utilitarian ones. There's some speculation however that GTA V won't include cheat codes, and I hope this is completely false.

I'm wondering though, what do you think? Do you think Rockstar should keep to tradition and include cheats or not? Why or why not?

Cheats in GTA V

I think I read somewhere that there will be more cheats available than in GTA IV or even SA. Personally I love the cheats in the Grand Theft Auto series (especially the cheats in San Andreas). The cheats make the game just a bit more fun to goof around. flying cars, fighter jet spawning, insta-fat model or even the bunny hop. What do you guys think about cheats and whether they should be available for the game or not.
